We’ll be hosting Dr. Alex Rand from Siemens PLM for our first industry talk this semester. Dr. Rand will talk about the broader organization that is Siemens and his work on mesh generation, before delving into the details of some technical projects.
Siemens PLM is also actively seeking applicants with graduate degrees (you might’ve seen the post on the SIAM-CSE mailing list if you’re a subscriber), so he’ll also touch upon open positions and the hiring process at Siemens. He has also graciously agreed to do 1:1 meetings!
