Talk Overview: Dr. Roseberry will share some insights from his professional journey, including his time as a Ph.D. student, and then explore how his Ph.D. experience helps in his current research, and offer both general advice as well as tips to utilize one’s time in grad school better.
Speaker: Tom O’Leary-Roseberry is a Research Associate at the Oden Institute in the Center for Computational Geosciences and Optimization, where he works on scientific machine learning, optimization and inverse problems. He received his CSEM Ph.D. in 2020 under the supervision of Omar Ghattas and Patrick Heimbach.
